My August 29th post was a simple bar graph showing the historically poor performance for the month of September. This year, once again, the pattern held. The S&P is down 20.93% on the year with September posting a 9.21% loss. Persistent patterns are worth noting and our short bias for much of the month proved to be the correct stance.
