Despite the worst recession in decades and massive stock market losses, Warren Buffett's charity lunch auction still managed to raise $1.68 million. This falls short of last year's $2.11 million but easily eclipses 2006 and 2007's bids of $620,100 and $650,100, respectively. Frantic bidding in the final hours took place once again as the top bid doubled in the final two hours. Even with Buffett's Berkshire struggling last year, the Oracle of Omaha shows his following is as strong as ever.
