One of my favorite authors, Roger Lowenstein, released his new book today, The End of Wall Street. I've pledged to read everything this man writes and I'm just as excited for this one. Just over a decade after the disaster at Long-Term Capital Management that Lowenstein detailed in When Genius Failed, Wall Street failed again. Only this time it was far worse as high leverage levels had spread to many firms across the Street rather than just one. Lowenstein argues for increased regulation on leverage limits, an entirely reasonable and absolutely necessary idea. He joined the CNBC crew this morning for a quick interview.
